Happy Veganuary 2023
Happy New Year! One of my favorite things about January is our resolve we have to improve our health. No matter what diet we follow, the one thing experts agree on is that we need to eat more fruits and vegetables. Sometimes we get bored with eating raw cauliflower. Enter plant-based cookbooks. Who knew there were so many ways to cook vegetables? I love the varied recipes, especially meat and cheese alternatives by Miyoko Schinner!
I have a little bookstore inside of a local vendor market. If you are ever in the area and want to visit, it is located at 1547 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana, USA. My dream is to host a VegFest, but introducing books to the veg-curious will do for now!
To celebrate Veganuary, I decided to sell some of my plant-based cookbooks and the one I created with my daughter, On a Wing and Prayer. The recipes from this book are based on popular dishes we served at our vegan restaurant, Rabbit Food Cafe. If you have Kindle Unlimited (KU), you can read it for free during January!
I couldn’t part with a few of my vegan books by other authors because I love them too much! Do you want to know which ones? Read on my plant-powered and plant-curious friends.
Favorite Plant-Based Cookbooks
I buy and keep all books by Julie Piatt and Mimi Kirk (except Plant-Based Dog Revolution because I don’t have dogs). I also like the Forks Over Knives series. You can read Forks Over Knives Cookbook For Beginners with KU at no extra charge!
The books I put in my bookstore include The Vegan Way (I found The Way of The Vegan Meathead when I looked up this book. It is free on KU and is now on my reading list. The title makes me curious to read the book!), Plant-Based Revolution (free on KU), Skinny Bitch Book of Vegan Swaps, Raw Organic Goodness, Vegan Healing, and Raw Organic Goodness.
