Kiss Lori For Me by Dr. Lori Goss-Reaves

From Home Corner Indiana to Valentine’s Ridge Vietnam to The White House, and the Larry Jo Goss Peace Home — Kiss Lori For Me is a roller coaster ride of emotions.

It is a Vietnam soldier’s story of betrayal, forgiveness, loyalty, love, and legacy. Kiss Lori For Me is told through the letters and journal entries HM2 Larry Jo Goss left behind, pieced together by his daughter during her relentless search to learn the truth of his death.

What stood out the most to me about this story was the young man’s ability to forgive and love unconditionally. I was also touched by the undying love his wife showed by keeping his memory alive with their precious daughter.

I will never understand war or selfish human behavior when it is so easy to be kind and so rewarding to love. I am glad this family got to experience the devoted love of a husband and father. It carried them through a lifetime of sadness and disappointment. That is the power of love.

By sharing this story, others are touched by the love that transcends space and time. Faith, love, and devotion wins. To see the band of brothers Larry served with help the little girl he loved so much gives me hope that we can rise above the chaos and confusion of life to a higher plane of existence, where love leads the way.

Kiss Lori For Me is a good read for those who have lost loved ones to know that love never dies. It will not surprise me if this book is made into a movie!
