Let’s Get to Know Each Other
I typically do daily gratitude journaling because I believe that gratitude affects your attitude, and your attitude affects your altitude! In honor of National Gratitude Month, I’m sharing my answers to CNN’s Good Stuff unique questions on the subject. Perhaps the Q&A will spark gratitude, reflection, or creative writing for you!
1. Do you have a “comfort watch” or a “comfort read” — a book, movie, or show you watch over and over when you’re craving something familiar?
Learning something new comforts me. I crave knowledge and a deeper understanding of the mind, body, and spirit. I am insatiably curious. I have “Unleash Your Inner Hero” playing in the background as I relax and write.
During Giovanni Marsico’s interview with Brain Specialist Jim Kwik, I went to Jim’s website and took his brain-type C.O.D.E. test. I discovered I’m a dolphin, which doesn’t surprise me because I often feel like a fish out of water and love dolphins! 🐬
Kwik says a dolphin-brain style is “Innovation, out-of-the-box thinking, and has strong intuition. Dolphins naturally generate original ideas and find unique solutions to complex problems.”
Interesting. I received a 21-page report from Kwik about the dolphin personality traits. That’s my idea of a comfort read!
Five movies I watch over and over again:
City of Angels
I love the idea of angels hanging out at libraries and the ocean. I am grateful for movies that make you think about life and love. I also love the soundtrack to this movie and have listened to it hundreds of times. Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls is one of my favorite songs. I am grateful for music that feels ethereal and creates memorable moments.
I watch this movie when I want to get out of a funk. It makes me laugh every time!
