Ode to a Frog — Funny Relationship Poem from My First Poetry Collection
I am sharing a poem-a-day in honor of National Poetry Month.
Today’s poem was inspired by a frog! The frog was in an aquarium in the Mounds State Park Visitor’s Center — my favorite park located in my hometown of Anderson, Indiana. Mounds State Park has a fascinating history dating back to the Adena Indians!
I got so into the history at one point that I started visiting earthworks in different states. Still, my favorite mounds are right in my hometown! I want to write a historical fiction book about it someday. In the meantime, I will keep writing poems about the wildlife and fun experiences I have when I visit Mounds State Park.
